Holiday song classics an excellent gift every Christmas

I love this season. apart from snow and presents, this is often the sole time of year we have a tendency to get to listen to from several artists who, were it not for the annual dusting off of their previous records, would have pale into oblivion.

It's nice to listen to the gap chords to vacation classics like “Winter Wonderland” or “Let It Snow” and marvel whose version is on the brink of follow. every December (or early November for a few overzealous radio stations), we have a tendency to hear Christmas standards from Grammy-winning stars like Perry Como (“There's no place like home for the vacations ...”), Nat King Cole (“Chestnuts roasting on an open hearth ...”) and Simon, Theodore and, of course, Alvin (“Me, i need a hula hoop ...”).THF6ZMB6ZRTW

Burl Ives was an Academy Award-winning actor and people singer. Gene Autry was an Oscar-nominated actor and country singer. however the sole time you hear either anymore is once they are singing “Holly, Jolly Christmas” or “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”

Regardless of the rest a performer will in his career, a decent vacation tune can outlast all of his alternative accomplishments. Twenty years from currently, Adam Sandler are going to be remembered a lot of for “The Hanukkah Song” than all the forgettable movies he is created.

A poignant Christmas song will even outshine an artist's alternative renowned work. Considering the little window of chance for airtime, “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” by John Lennon most likely gets a lot of airtime over the course of a year than “Imagine.”

Finally, it appears each attainable male/female combination has recorded “Baby, It's Cold Outside,” starting from the odd number of Rod Stewart and Dolly Parton to the odder number of Rudolf Nureyev and Miss Piggy.

Surprisingly, the primary (and still one among the best) was by Red Skelton and Betty Garrett within the 1949 movie “Neptune's Daughter,” where the roles are hilariously reversed.

Lindsay Lohan Playboy publication Take care of Images Similar to Marilyn Monroe Published Online

On November Fifteenth, Hollywood’s outrageous youngster, Lindsey Lohan will very first her Marilyn Monroe influenced picture take for Playboy publication, on the Ellen Degeneres display. The actress’ cover Playboy publication was launched online, providing viewers and visitors everywhere a glimpse at items to come. The coverage reveals Lohan seated astride a seat with the again designed like the well-known Playboy publication Rabbit. The seat prudently protects all the personal components on the cover that was launched, but the whole set will be unveiled soon.

The take took two requires, as Hugh Hefner flipped down the first set, saying they were just too acquire for the publication and not the route they desired to take. She evidently created $1 thousand for the take that was actually taken for the male publication again in July of this season.

Despite claims created by She Lohan’s mom, Dina, that the celebrity would not be absolutely unclothed, Hugh Hefner The Insider: “It’s a vintage honor influenced by the unique Tom Kelly felix unclothed graphic of Marilyn Monroe, a part of which was the unique playmate in the very first concern of Playboy publication.”
Words that keep being tossed around in regards to the take are “classy” and “tasteful”. There will be an appointment that comes with the graphic that will concentrate on a aspect of Lohan that few get to see. Everyone included seems very pleased with the take that will be published to the community sometime in November.

Lindsay arranged to do only one press appointment while her concern was available and she select that appointment to be with Ellen. There will be no other interview advertising the concern, although, it’s extremely unlikely that any other unique offers would have been required anyway.

Lohan is not a unfamiliar person to the photographic camera, not for snap shots, nor for her tricks, and has had other protects such as New You are able to publication, where she was naked, but included by props of some type. She has also done some very controversial limbs for Saying and Fashion. So this is certainly not new, but if like Hugh Hefner declares, her graphic is absolutely unclothed, that is not been done since her New You are able to publication take in 2008.

It’s perhaps more than a little aggravating to the celebrity that the cover was launched, seeing as she was making that unique on air very first on the Ellen display, but maintaining items under systems, especially something like this, is near extremely hard on the planet of the online world. The first website to problem the cover picture was

Will the $1 thousand she created for the take or the graphic and document in playboy help the having difficulties celebrity leap start her career? Only time will tell. Her 2008 New You are able to Journal take just didn't, but that was a few years ago. It would certainly be a advantage to see her get her life on monitor and have some good the unexpected happens for her that kept her going in the right route.

The Truth About the 2012 Ford Focus vs. the 2012 Honda Civic

Introductions taken from and links to both separate reviews are below. I suggest you read them before you do any car shopping. Or believe the media.

Ford Focus Titanium Sedan Road Test
It is a not very well-kept secret in the auto industry that Ford Motor Company used to suffer from “quality glitches” with its new models as a routine matter of course during their first year on sale. But given how consistently innovative and successful it has been in recent years at maintaining Toyota and Honda levels of vehicle quality in surveys, it came as a bit of a shock to see its customer satisfaction ratings plummet dramatically in just the last few months.

Given our experience with the 2012 Ford Focus it’s clear that a lot of the blame lies in a few teething problems with their most recently launched models. To say our test car had “issues” would be to understate the matter quite a bit. Still, the Fusion, Flex, F-150, Taurus, Mustang and many of the Blue Oval’s best sellers, do continue to maintain excellent quality rankings.

So what’s the problem with the 2012 Ford Focus? We are sure that time and little bit of engineering hard work, Ford can fix every wrong thing we experienced. But given the number of problems our 2012 tester suffered from it is very hard to recommend that anyone buy this model at least until Ford gets these quality control issues ironed out.

There were small niggles like a trunk that routinely liked to pop open as you crossed speed bumps and it definitely didn’t help matters that the standard six-speed dual-clutch automatic hesitated for at least five seconds when going from park to reverse and then would only do so with a jarring clunk. This gearbox also routinely shook the car with such abrupt judders through the entire body during various downshifts that it made you wonder if in fact you were piloting the Titanic and had hit an iceberg. No transmission with only 4,500 miles on the odometer should behave that way.

2012 Honda Civic EX-L Review
As far a new car launches go, the 2012 Honda Civic's introduction to the North American market couldn’t have been any bumpier or more badly timed. First off, soon after the Civic’s press introduction in Washington, D.C., Japan was devastated by the most costly natural disaster the world has ever seen when an earthquake, tsunami and nuclear plant meltdown put the country into chaos. Honda, unfortunately, has its headquarters in Tochigi, Japan which means it was the closest Japanese automaker to all of the devastation.

Although most Civics are manufactured at plants in North America and only 20 percent of their parts are sourced from Japan (the rest are purchased locally), the company found itself with assembly lines full of partially assembled vehicles that should have already been on dealer lots. Thankfully, things have been steadily improving and Honda tells us that production has returned to near normal levels so if you want a Civic you should be able to find the trim level, body style and color you want at your local dealer.

As if that wasn’t enough, for some reason many in the automotive media decided that Honda’s misfortune was the perfect opportunity to begin relentless and rather misguided attacks on the Civic which has dominated American compact sedan buyer’s hearts for decades. So what, exactly, is wrong with the 2012 Honda Civic? Has Honda, as so many headlines have proclaimed, lost its way with the Civic?

Before we look into that we’ll just make one thing very clear. To paraphrase a sentiment uttered by the similarly iconic author Mark Twain, “rumors of the Honda Civic’s demise have been greatly exaggerated.”

Autobytel: Intro and Link to My Road Test Review of the 2012 Toyota Camry XLE V6

There’s really only so much that you can learn about a completely new and redesigned car when your only real experience with it is in the controlled environment of a manufacturer sponsored press launch. These events are the best way to find out all of the stats, technical info and pick the brains of the engineers and designers who spent years working on this one automotive project. But only by living with this new model for a week can you be sure to find out how it performs in the real world that buyers of these cars live in.

Now all of that is all that should be expected from an automaker as auto journalists at press launches only get initial impressions out there via test drive routes that are mapped out by automakers in advance. Rumor has it that it isn’t unheard of for these test roads to be specially chosen to mask certain, shall we say, known deficiencies?

My thoughts of the 2012 Chevrolet Orlando

2012 Chevrolet Orlando
The first time I was introduced to the Chevrolet Orlando was when GM released the concept version of this vehicle. At the time I was quite impressed I thought it was a very unique looking vehicle and when I heard GM had approved the Orlando for production I was pleasantly surprised. The first thing that impressed me about the Orlando was its exterior styling the rear of the vehicle featured some very nice touches. The one part of the Orlando concept I liked the most was the design of the rear tail lights there placement and look suited the rear styling of the vehicle. The front end featured uniquely designed head lights which went a long way in helping to give the Orlando a sporty look something were not use to seeing from GM. It seemed like the Chevrolet Orlando would be the next vehicle to represent a new direction for GM and I was quite optimistic about the future of this vehicle thinking it may be a great success for a company who had recently fallen on hard times. Part of the problem with GM in the past was the fact that they built cars that simply couldn’t compete against their competition. When I was much younger I actually use to refer to them as the auto maker who followed their own path, only making the cars they wanted to make a car company that didn’t take the competition very seriously. Eventually this led to declining sales since other auto makers where doing a better job of providing customers with vehicles they actually wanted to drive.

Chevrolet Orlando Concept
To me the success of a company such as GM is very important to me since I live in a town where their vehicles are manufactured. And when I first saw the Orlando concept I believed it represented a new direction for GM I thought this vehicle could be a great success, I was just hoping that the production version of the Orlando turned out as well as the concept did. Eventually GM did release a few shots of the production version and like many people I was actually surprised and disappointed that GM took what was a great looking vehicle and turned it into something so dull and boring. In my opinion it looks like GM is still not willing to take any chances when it comes to the design of its vehicles. I really don’t think it makes any sense for a car company to bring a vehicle to market that already looks aged. In recent years other companies such as Hyundai and even Kia have been doing an amazing job of bringing to market unique car designs that attract younger buyers. When you look at the 2012 Chevrolet Orlando and compare it to the competition you will see that other manufactures offer buyers some very unique looking vehicles to choose from. Take a look at the Orlando’s closest competition the 2012 Mazda 5 and you will see a much better looking vehicle that is very sporty and much more enjoyable to drive. In my opinion the Chevrolet Orlando doesn’t have much character at all and its rental car looks don’t make me want to rush out and purchase one. I really wonder what GM was thinking and why they made the decision to take what was an amazing concept and then turn it into something so uninteresting and boring. They had a great opportunity here to bring to market a vehicle that would appeal to a younger audience but just like in the past they tend to only create vehicles that are geared toward the older crowd. With so many new and more interesting vehicles being released by it's competitors the Orlando could suffer from poor sales. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

2012 Mazda 5                            Ford C-Max
I am sure many people will agree that the 2012 Chevrolet Orlando is a step in the right direction for GM they just need to be more willing to take some chance and create interesting vehicles that can compete against companies like Kia and Hyundai. It seems like when it comes to GM their designs are very basic and plain when the majority of car buyers are looking to purchase a vehicle that stands out that makes them feel good when their behind the wheel. And sure GM`s interiors have come a long way and I am actually impressed with the fit and finish found inside their current vehicles. To me the most useful feature found inside the 2012 Orlando is the unique in dash flip up storage compartment which was mainly created for you to store your smart phone or other devices. But that`s really the only feature found in the Orlando that impresses me, my main issue with this vehicle is its design which I believe
can still be improved. If the Orlando is actually a success that means with-in the next 3-4 years it will be due for a refresh which means many of the issues I have with the looks of the new Orlando can be addressed. Now I am sure the Orlando is a decent vehicle but I do have a few suggestions for GM when it comes time to for a few updates. The first thing I would do is apply the rear design from the concept to the production version of the Orlando which would help to create a vehicle that is much more visually appealing. Next I would rework the front end to include a front head light design similar to the ones found on the Orlando concept. Now the last thing I would suggest for GM to do is stop being so afraid of the word “mini-van” and to just add side sliding doors to the Chevrolet Orlando so it can compete against offerings from other car makers. To me it looks like GM has the capabilities of releasing vehicles that appeal to the masses and it seems like their concept design department is doing a great job of creating interesting designs but sadly many of their ideas are not making it into production. As you can see I haven`t totally given up on GM just yet I just hope the next time they show us a concept vehicle that they do a better job when it comes time to putting that vehicle into production.

Below you will find examples of concept cars that GM did a great job of coverting into production vehicles:

1 2 3 Ten Best 2012 SUVs for Commuting Which Can Still Handle Family Duties

When it comes to picking out the best new SUV for you and your family, there are a lot of different things to consider besides sticker price and whether or not you think the car salesman you are working with was hired simply because his polyester suit matched his polyester hair. You see, there can be bad salespeople at any dealership and paying the right price for your next SUV will come down to doing your homework when the time comes and then being prepared to be doing a bit of negotiating.

But before you jump ahead to the actual process of "buying" your next 2012 SUV, you must first go out and "shop" for one first. And if you hadn't noticed lately, there are a lot of choices out there for the average consumer. Admittedly, a 2012 Range Rover might be nice to dream about but can you afford $90,000, a tenacious thirst for premium unleaded and the possibility that something might go wrong with this most complex SUV ever built once it's out of warranty?

Don't answer that if you have a house in the Hamptons, have live-in help who raise your children, or don't have the slightest clue why 99% of a population would resent the top 1% of money earners in the populace. While there are some luxurious and upscale choices on this list, even the top level models here lack the showy ostentation that is never popular in a recession.

The Right Hairstyle For Your Face Shape

Right Hairstyle
The first thing you need to know when choosing the right hairstyle is the shape of your face. As your hairdresser can help you find what face shape and hair will make the best way that flatters your natural beauty, the following will give some tips you should first consider before your visit to the hairdresser or stylist. Now let's quickly run through the faces and forms of adjustments you can make your haircut to gain some balance and improve its appearance.

A square face: when you have such a face shape, you should wear the top along the sides and must be styled a little higher. While the pages must be thin and short. The hairstyle should reflect the shape of your face, so keep your hair clean.

A long face: here to get the necessary balance, you should wear a style that has more sides and shorter height. You can get a haircut with layers and a hidden front hairline. Men may wear a beard beautiful, giving them a little more balance, but be careful not to let your facial hair grow too long because it will immediately make your face even longer. Glasses - another way to divide the face and takes the focus distance.

Round face: hairstyles and round-bodied - definitely not your choice, because it will add even more roundness to your face. If the pages are leaner, and the hair is higher at the top and front, you get more balance. Hairstyles for round face, square playing well. Get rid of the roundness of the waves, or you can try an off-center.

An oval face: If you have this kind of shape you're in luck, as it is often called an ideal form. A full range of options, almost all the styles that suit you. Here are more aware of the position of other facial features in the eyes or nose shape.

One side of the diamond: the aim is to balance wide cheekbones and narrow chin and forehead. Long fringe hair and lint will help you do.

A triangular face: choosing a hairstyle that will make your chin look wider and narrow forehead region. Bangs swept to one side or offset a portion going to help you. A wonderful opportunity has a beard.

In addition, the forms in front of the above (which are considered the most common), there are also some that are rare, some of which are: pear, triangle and diamond. Many of us are the most common classes, while others are more of a challenge to choose hairstyles. Here are some tips.

You have a pear-shaped, if your face is wider at the bottom. Thus, the necessary balance, you can get by wearing hair fuller at the temples. A diamond is it when a person has large cheeks. The solution is thinner style, narrow at the cheeks. To divert the attention of a pointed chin, wearing bangs swept to one side. A beard is also a variant, but remember that you must take care of it and it should always be carefully pruned.

It is not easy to decide on their own face shape. You can make mistakes, and then a terrible haircut. So please contact your barber or hairdresser. He will help you choose the hairstyle that makes you good.

Bernie Madoff Victims To Get Their Money

bernie madoff ponzi scheme
Victims of Bernie Madoff is a multi-billion dollar Ponzi scheme will begin to receive some money back today.

"This initial distribution is the first return of the stolen funds to Madoff's defrauded customers," said Irving Picard, the trustee overseeing the liquidation of Madoff's firm in federal bankruptcy court.

More than 1,200 account holders to share the first $ 312 million. The first payment should have been published last week, but was held up to the dispute.

The 312 million U.S. dollars is a fraction of the U.S. $ 9 billion Picard said he was so much more, much of the estate of an investor, Jeffry Picower the end. Most of the money recovered, is still engaged in legal action. Madoff victims have lost 17 billion dollars, as calculated by Picard.
"The needs of many clients to Madoff are in a hurry," said Picard. "We try to speed up these distributions."

David Sheehan, a lawyer for Picard, said he can not predict the timing of decisions on appeals.

"" I think it's likely that, after all, most, if not all, of the recovered funds are divided into Madoff's victims, "said Robert Mintz, a former federal prosecutor and now partner at McCarter and English, New Jersey LLP, the WHO estimates that in 1230 investors, who sent checks today just to go back to about 4.6 cents per dollar.

Mintz said that the courts have already decided that the experiment of lawsuits should be limited to the money invested in real rather than fictitious paper profits that are lost when the system is vented. In a separate ruling, the Court has limited the Picard's take a fictitious profits to clear the owners of the New York Mets, Mintz told Picard that may affect your ability to recover the money from Madoff investors who received more money than that costs

The Trustee has left hundreds of lawsuits against banks, mutual funds and individual investors who have benefited from the Madoff fraud.

"What Picard has to do that is not an easy process, is who is worthy," said Annemarie McAvoy, a former federal prosecutor and now an assistant professor at Fordham Law School. "It's a difficult process, but it's a difficult situation to begin with because it was a terrible thing Madoff did."

Madoff is serving a prison sentence of 150 years in North Carolina. His firm, Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, used a Ponzi scheme where money from new investors was used to pay off old investors. The company also generated account statements to investors, as Picard called "fictitious". Picard has calculated the loss by comparing how much money the victims invested over how much money they have withdrawn from their accounts.

McAvoy said that it is unlikely investors will have all their money.

"They almost never get the full amount," he said. "But at least some of the victims."

Early exаmples of attempts to capture tհе phenomenon of motion drawing cаո be found in paleolithic cave paintings, where аոimals аrе depicted wіtհ multiple legs in superimposed positions, clearly attempting to convey tհе perception of motion.

A 5,000 year old eartհеn bowl found in Irаո in Shahr-i Sokhta has five images of a goat painted along tհе sides. This has been claimed to be аո exаmple of early аոimation. However, since no equipment existed to show tհе images in motion, such a series of images cаոոоt be cаΙΙed аոimation in a true sense of tհе word.

A Chinese zoetrope-type device had been invented in 180 AD. tհе phenakistoscope, praxinoscope, аոԁ tհе common flip book were early popular аոimation devices invented during tհе 19th century.

tհеse devices produced tհе appearаոce of movement frоm sequential drawings using technological meаոs, but аոimation did ոоt reаΙΙy develop much furtհеr until tհе advent of cinematography.

tհеre is no single person who cаո be considered tհе "creator" of film аոimation, as tհеre were several people working on projects which could be considered аոimation at аbоսt tհе sаme time.

Georges Méliès was a creator of special-effect films; he was generаΙΙy one of tհе first people to use аոimation wіtհ his technique. He discovered a technique by accident which was to stop tհе cаmera rolling to chаոge something in tհе scene, аոԁ tհеn continue rolling tհе film. This idea was later known as stop-motion аոimation. Méliès discovered this technique accidentаΙΙy when his cаmera broke down while shooting a bus driving by. When he had fixed tհе cаmera, a hearse happened to be passing by just as Méliès restarted rolling tհе film, his end result was that he had mаոaged to make a bus trаոsform into a hearse. This was just one of tհе great contributors to аոimation in tհе early years.

tհе earliest surviving stop-motion advertising film was аո English short by Arthur Melbourne-Cooper cаΙΙed Matches: аո Appeal (1899). Developed for tհе Bryаոt аոԁ May Matchsticks compаոу, it involved stop-motion аոimation of wired-togetհеr matches writing a patriotic cаΙΙ to action on a blackboard.

J. Stuart Blackton was possibly tհе first аmericаո film-maker to use tհе techniques of stop-motion аոԁ hаոԁ-drawn аոimation. Introduced to film-making by Edison, he pioneered tհеse concepts at tհе turn of tհе 20th century, wіtհ his first copyrighted work dated 1900. Several of his films, аmоոg tհеm tհе Enchаոted Drawing (1900) аոԁ Humorous Phases of Funny Faces (1906) were film versions of Blackton's "lightning artist" routine, аոԁ utilized modified versions of Méliès' early stop-motion techniques to make a series of blackboard drawings appear to move аոԁ reshape tհеmselves. 'Humorous Phases of Funny Faces' is regularly cited as tհе first true аոimated film, аոԁ Blackton is considered tհе first true аոimator.
Fаոtasmagorie by Emile Cohl, 1908

аոotհеr French artist, Émile Cohl, begаո drawing cartoon strips аոԁ created a film in 1908 cаΙΙed Fаոtasmagorie. tհе film largely consisted of a stick figure moving аbоսt аոԁ encountering аΙΙ mаոner of morphing objects, such as a wine bottle that trаոsforms into a flower. tհеre were аΙѕо sections of live action where tհе аոimator’s hаոԁs would enter tհе scene. tհе film was created by drawing each frаme on paper аոԁ tհеn shooting each frаme onto negative film, which gave tհе picture a blackboard look. This makes Fаոtasmagorie tհе first аոimated film created using what cаme to be known as traditional (hаոԁ-drawn) аոimation.

Following tհе successes of Blackton аոԁ Cohl, mаոу otհеr artists begаո experimenting wіtհ аոimation. One such artist was Winsor McCay, a successful newspaper cartoonist, who created detailed аոimations that required a teаm of artists аոԁ painstaking attention for detail. Each frаme was drawn on paper; which invariably required backgrounds аոԁ characters to be redrawn аոԁ аոimated. аmоոg McCay's most ոоted films аrе Little Nemo (1911), Gertie tհе Dinosaur (1914) аոԁ tհе Sinking of tհе Lusitаոia (1918).

tհе production of аոimated short films, typicаΙΙy referred to as "cartoons", becаme аո industry of its own during tհе 1910s, аոԁ cartoon shorts were produced to be shown in movie tհеaters. tհе most successful early аոimation producer was John Rаոԁolph Bray, who, along wіtհ аոimator Earl Hurd, patented tհе cel аոimation process which dominated tհе аոimation industry for tհе rest of tհе decade.

El Apóstol (Spаոish: "tհе Apostle") was a 1917 Argentine аոimated film utilizing cutout аոimation, аոԁ tհе world's first аոimated feature film.

She said she fought tհе idea at first, as she hadn't plаոned on getting that type of scаո until tհе recommended age, 40.

The 2011 Smart ForTwo Cabrio and Losing My Religion

Starting in the 5th Century A.D. there began a new religious movement known as "self-flagellation" where certain Christian sects would actually inflict wounds upon themselves (usually with whips) so that they could feel closer to understanding the pain Jesus went through on the Cross. Spiritually, it was the ultimate way to show reverence to Jesus and while you won't find many Christians who whip themselves regularly today, there are apparently plenty of people looking for some pain and torture in the new automotive "Green Movement." But what is the cost of going "green" and will it ever work for you?

As long as there are humans on Earth, we will continue altering our environment and ravenously using up our precious resources. But there are some answers out there. Let's just say that, as far as we can see, the 2011 Smart ForTwo Passion Cabriolet which we recently test drove for a week was sadly much like a car without a purpose or a punch line without a joke. We had trouble figuring out what it was doing in the United States when clearly our roads are not built for this skittish, jittery and generally unpleasant to drive car.

It may not be quite like "torture" but if you buy a 2011 Smart ForTwo Cabriolet Passion it can only serve as a method of "self-flagellation" for those with serious eco-guilt. And if you have that kind of psychosis then perhaps this is the vehicle for you as Smart claims the car in 95% recyclable which is odd since so much of it feels like it's made out of Styrofoam.

Coroner's Report Reveals Cupertino Gunman Died

the man suspected of opening fire at a Northern California quarry, killing three of his co-workers and injuring six others, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, authorities said tuesday.

the report by the Santa Clara County coroner contradicts the account given by authorities shortly after Shareef allman's death. Sheriff Laurie Smith had said allman was killed last thursday by deputies who opened fire after he threatened them with a handgun.

according to the coroner's office, allman was shot multiple times, but the self-inflicted wound was the fatal one.

the confrontation took place after a 27-hour manhunt for allman, who police said entered a pre-dawn meeting on oct. 5 in a trailer at Lehigh Southwest Cement plant, where he worked as a truck driver, and began shooting his co-workers one by one. Mark Munoz, 59; Manuel Pinon, 48; and John Vallejos, 51, died.

allman shot a tenth victim in a failed carjacking attempt after leaving the plant, authorities said.

authorities have not released any details about a possible motive, other than to say that allman was disgruntled.

allman's friends and colleagues said he had complained about being treated unfairly by his managers, but still were baffled that he resorted to violence. He was described as a pillar of San Jose's black community, a doting father who penned a novel describing the evils of domestic violence.

tony Williams, pastor of the Maranatha Christian Center in San Jose, who has been acting as an allman family spokesman, said he had no comment about the coroner's report.

Breaking News in Chicago | Maria High to close in 2013 after converting to public charter school

Breaking News in Chicago
Breaking News in Chicago | The more you understand about any subject, the more interesting it becomes. As you read this article you'll find that the subject of breaking news in chicago is certainly no exception.

How can you put a limit on learning more? The next section may contain that one little bit of wisdom that changes everything.

The school that counts Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne Burke and Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez among its alums “has been struggling for many years,’’ said Sister M. Immacula Wendt, general superior of the Sisters of St. Casimir that run the school.

The Sisters of St. Casimir have contributed “close to $10 million in the last five years-plus’’ to keep Maria High afloat “because we really believed in the mission to educate young women,’’ Wendt said. That includes $300,000 annually in scholarships to Maria, she said.

Even so, enrollment has dwindled from a peak of 1,400 in the 1960s or 1970s to “a tad over 200 today,” Wendt said. “The economics” of running a single-gender private school in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood have “become prohibitive,’’ the high school said in a news release Thursday.

If Chicago Public School officials approve, a charter school chain called Catalyst Charter Schools Network would open a kindergarten-9th grade school, called Catalyst-Maria, in the building at 6727 S. California in the fall of 2012, officials said.

During that school year, Wendt said, Maria High students would share the building with Catalyst students and probably continue to take mandatory religion classes.

But Maria’s days as an all-girls Catholic high school would end at the close of that school year. In the fall of 2013, Catalyst-Maria Charter School would add grades 10-12. Any Maria students who have not yet graduated could apply.

The sisters hope to eventually provide optional Catholic education classes in an adjacent building, now a vacant convent, either before school, after school or on Saturdays, to allow male and female Catholic students and others to continue Catholic studies, Wendt said.

Now you can be a confident expert on breaking news in chicago. OK, maybe not an expert. But you should have something to bring to the table next time you join a discussion on breaking news in chicago.

Chicago White Sox Manager Ozzie Guillen Traded to Florida Marlins

breaking news chicago
When you think about breaking news chicago, what do you think of first? Which aspects of breaking news chicago are important, which are essential, and which ones can you take or leave? You be the judge.

You may not consider everything you just read to be crucial information about breaking news chicago. But don't be surprised if you find yourself recalling and using this very information in the next few days.

This is a move that has come straight out of left field, but even the terms of the trade might be more surprising.

Think of the last time a major-league manager was traded to a team. I'll give you a few more moments for that one. Can't think of any?
The last instance this occurred was all the way back in 1976, nearly four decades ago. The late Chuck Tanner was traded by the Oakland Athletics to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Manny Sanguillen.

Current Marlins manager, Jack McKeon has informed his players and the Florida Marlins organization that he will indeed retire at the end of the season.

The Miami Marlins, which is what they will officially be called when they open up at their new ballpark in 2012, are going to try anything to make headlines so there is buzz around this team when they do open up the doors to the new park.

Ozzie Guillen gives the Marlins a manager that will make headlines. As some get lost in Ozzie's tirades of how upset he is about his team, they tend to forget that his main goal is to acquire talented baseball players and contend for the pennant.

Of course, it's impossible to put everything about breaking news chicago into just one article. But you can't deny that you've just added to your understanding about breaking news chicago, and that's time well spent.

2011 Honda Accord vs. 2011 Kia Optima

It's no secret but the Honda and Acura Examiner is crazy about the 2011 Kia Optima and thinks it stands and the biggest competitor for the 2011 Honda Accord. Well, not yet with driving dynamics but we'll get to that later. (the Kia is Audi-like, the Accord is nimble like a BMW), both have intuitive electronic systems like navigation and voice activation as well as the best leather trimmed interiors in the family sedan class. It is funny, however, that even though our test Optima EX had more "ooh-aah" type features that it cost nearly $28,000 and the Accord SE $23,370 nicely equipped for most people's desires. Really, is every Optima buyer going to demand the (admittedly awesome) dual pane power moonroof, ventilated/heated front seats, the back-up camera and an 8-speaker Infinitiy sound system (the Accord SE's 6-speaker unit was perfectly adequate barring its lack of USB/iPod integration which is available on Accord EX models and above.)

Quite honestly, the only reason we wouldn't buy the 2011 Honda Accord SE is because it doesn't a USB/iPod integration port which lessens driver distraction as it moves song/album/playlist control to your radio faceplate or even sometimes the steering wheel mounted audio controls. Both Honda and Kia are experts are USB/iPod integration and the Accord really needs to catch up on that game especially considering the hi-tech i-MID super in-car electronics system now in every 2012 Civic. But even priced similarly to the Honda, the Optima doesn't have much of a feature advantage besides the longer warranty and perhaps dual zone climate control. The Accord makes do with regular air conditioning knobs so if things like that sway you, well, that's an insult to the Kia. Because finally it's good enough to be purchased solely on its own many merits. And we are saying that as staunch Honda fans, we just think Kia deserves that same respect from owners when they buy their cars. It's finally their time to get more respect.

‘Dancing With the Stars’: Nancy Grace on Dance Floor Drama

analyzing courtroom drama is Nancy Grace‘s specialty, but the legal analyst herself was the focus of major drama on the “DWtS” dance floor when she allegedly had a wardrobe malfunction during an energetic performance of the quickstep. Grace told “Good Morning america” today that she stands behind her denial, issued on twitter, saying she wears an “industrial strength bra.”

“that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Whatever anybody else wants to say, have at it,” Grace said today. “You’d have to see all the precautions that ‘Dancing With the Stars‘ takes so that that sort of thing doesn’t happen. I’m just really surprised that a bra incident would make headlines.”

No matter what did or didn’t happen during that dance, one thing’s for sure — Grace pulled off one of the biggest week-to-week turnarounds in the show’s history with that quickstep, even earning an 8 from notoriously-picky judge Len Goodman.

“that’s what we’re looking for. We’re looking for 8s all the time from everybody,” said Grace’s pro partner tristan MacManus. “So I was delighted to get our first one. Hopefully it’s the first of many.”

MacManus, one of the new male dance pros this season, is determined to make Grace into a real dancer. that means hours upon hours of rehearsals and occasionally butting heads with a stubborn Grace.

“We were still in the rehearsal hall, working until 9:30 last night. When I got home my twins were already asleep, so we’ve been putting in a lot of hours on our next dance. a lot,” Grace said. “I couldn’t expect a better instructor than tristan, but I got to tell you the grunt level is really going up in rehearsals. every time I make a mistake, he goes, ‘Ugh.’ and moves me in the right place. …I hear him go, ‘Ugh.’”

Grace’s response is to roll her eyes, MacManus, 29, joked. “We’re getting on well. We’re working hard together,” he added.

“I knew that it would require a lot of work, but it’s actually grueling. Sometimes five to eight, over eight hours of practice a day. You don’t just get out there and do the quick step like that without intensive preparation, but it’s actually fun,” she said.

Grace and the 10 remaining celebrity competitors take to the dance floor for their third dance Monday night at 8/7c on “Dancing with the Stars.”

Satellite Falling to Earth?

nasa satellite falling
So what is NASA satellite falling really all about? The following report includes some fascinating information about NASA satellite falling--info you can use, not just the old stuff they used to tell you.

Think about what you've read so far. Does it reinforce what you already know about NASA satellite falling? Or was there something completely new? What about the remaining paragraphs?

Every satellite falls back toward earth. But when it's a giant, 12,500-pound version (about the size of an average elephant), expected to hit somewhere on earth between Thursday and Saturday, people take notice. While the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS) rushes at 17,000 mph toward reentry, the NASA satellite could fling as many as 26 pieces of debris in a 500-mile path anywhere from your house to the middle of the open seas.
TIME spoke with Nick Johnson, NASA's chief scientist for orbital debris, about the upcoming reentry of UARS, the frequency of similar events, any possible danger to people on the ground—there remains a 1-in-3,200 chance of any debris striking a person—and how he predicts reentry locations (not really all that possible, just to tip you off).

If you've picked some pointers about NASA satellite falling that you can put into action, then by all means, do so. You won't really be able to gain any benefits from your new knowledge if you don't use it.
