Lamborghini SUV Mind Produced Around 2017

Lamborghini director of research and development, Maurizio Reggiani revealed some new details about the production version of the SUV concept of Mind. He said that the initial production of Mind will not be sooner than early 2017.

Reggiani also revealed to Automotive News that the Mind will be made on the PL73 platform that will also be used in next-generation Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne, VW Touareg and the concept of the production version of the Bentley EXP 9 F.

The platform will be built using steel and weighs 1996 kg target. To meet that target, Mind like a lot of the material relied carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) as well as engine hood, trunk lid and doors made ​​of aluminum-magnesium.

Although the current Lamborghini SUV Mind has not received approval for production, Reggiani said that the Mind would like to use twin-turbo V8 engine. Automotive News predicted that the machine will be based on the engine of the Audi 4.2 liter V8 with 600 hp output range.

If all goes according to plan, Lamborghini will sell about 3,000 units annually Mind. Lamborghini factory in Sant 'Agata may not be able to serve that number, but final assembly and finishing it, still worked at the facility.
